L.I.F.E.works Community: Unity in Our Community

We live in a country with cultural groups from all over the world.  L.I.F.E.works believes multiculturalism encourages racial and ethnic harmony that discourages hatred, discrimination and violence.  In 2007, Myla brought the idea and her passion to the table for the Edmonds City Fair and OLM Multicultural & Family Day.  She has dedicated her time and knowledge as one of the committee members for both events.  These events are reminded of how fortunate we are here in Canada to have such as rich and vibrant multicultural community.

EDMONDS CITY FAIR – SEPTEMBER 16, 2007

Not even the rain could stop this great community event that was held in Edmonds.  It attracted several thousand people to come together to celebrate community, family and have a great fun-filled day.  It is an afternoon event to share good food, games, petting zoo, talent show, international village and dance from variety of cultures that make up our community.

OLM MULTICULTURAL EVENT & FAMILY DAY - September 22, 2007

An event to brings together every individual, every family and the community to express the multicultural flare and colour through the diversity of culture, language, performance, and the taste of traditional home-cooked meals.  It was a whole day event with games for the children such as the famous dunk tank and many great performances from different cultural backgrounds, and opportunity to taste several ethnic foods and ended with a dinner & dance fund.
