Year 2008, L.I.F.E.works is working on several projects in the Philippines:
Children suffering from cancer: Cancer chooses no one and sometimes, it afflicts even the most innocent among us: our children. Once diagnosed with the dreaded disease, children are thrown into a totally different world, one even adults fear. It is a world wherein the struggle for life is felt daily, where every little step can be crucial. Only 20% of the children diagnosed with cancer in the Philippines are able to get treated due to financial strain. L.I.F.E.works is working on a feed the family program for those families already stricken by poverty and now have to cope with the disease. L.I.F.E.works goal one day is to help one or more children subsidize the cost of a complete chemotherapy program.
CRIB foundation: In an unfortunate situation, many new born babies are abandoned, neglected and surrendered by their parents. In January 2008, L.I.F.E.works visited CRIB Foundation who provides temporary shelter residential care to babies from 1-day-old to 4 years old. L.I.F.E.works plan to make some of their wishes come true by providing babies needs such as cloth & disposable diapers, Gerber safety pins & rubber nipples, feeding bottles, wet wipes, blankets, bottle brush, face towels, crib sheets & towels.

Street Children: Street children are identified as children who spend the majority of their time living on the streets, trying to earn a living. These children come from poor families, burdened by the socioeconomic conditions in the Philippines. Unfortunately, most are forced to drop out of school, and beg for money to help feed themselves and their families. Some of these children have regular contact with their families however, for many; their family becomes their companions on the street.
These children become victims of circumstances not of their own choice. At their early age, they become "instant adults" burdened by responsibilities of helping their parents earn a family income. Such situations expose them to unwholesome adult activities such as rugby sniffing to diminish their hunger pains, pick pocketing, stealing, and even prostitution. They likewise become victims of physical injuries from adults and worst is that they become victims of sexual exploitation.
L.I.F.E.works is planning on distributing toys, clothes and books for these children in need and to celebrate an early Christmas in October.
L.I.F.E.works vision of one day having a L.I.F.E.school or learning centre.
